Wedding Photography & Film
for Italy's Most Iconic Lake

We do not document weddings. We craft visual legacies. Our work is for couples who expect more than beautiful imagery – and for weddings on Lake Como where every detail is thoughtfully considered. For many years, we have accompanied exclusive high-end celebrations, combining aesthetic clarity with the utmost organizational security – from the villa on the water to the private estate above Bellagio.

As a cohesive team of specialized photographers and filmmakers, we work where the highest standards are a given – and Lake Como is one of those places. Every wedding is unique, and every lakeside venue has its own rules: boat transfers, tight schedules, and the brief evening light over the water. Our goal is to take responsibility, anticipate these processes, and set the stage for genuine moments. This allows our couples to focus entirely on their celebration – and us on the result.

About The Tailors and her Team

Experience. Structure. Absolute Reliability.

The Tailors Photo and Film - that's us: an international team of wedding photographers and filmmakers with a clear specialization in sophisticated weddings in the high-end segment. We accompany celebrations in Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Mallorca and the USA.

Our focus is on couples who are not looking for standards, but expect excellence. That's why we deliberately only accompany a limited number of weddings per year. In this way, we ensure that each production receives our full attention - in terms of content, organization and aesthetics.

Our way of working is characterized by experience, structure and absolute reliability. We think ahead, work closely with all the trades involved and operate discreetly in the background at all times. The results are images and films with substance - precise, timeless and realized at the highest level.

Beauty is everywhere
at Lake Como.
Precision is not.

Why Couples With the Highest Standards Choose Us

The Tailors. Made for Lake Como.

Our photography and film services are handled by a well-coordinated team—a unified visual style, seamless coordination, and a single point of contact, rather than two service providers getting in each other’s way on the wedding day. Each year, we deliberately limit the number of weddings we cover; this ensures that every project receives our full attention—in terms of content, organization, and aesthetics. We plan every detail in advance and coordinate closely and discreetly with the wedding planner and venue: Our presence goes unnoticed, but our results certainly don’t.

Discretion is standard here, not an extra service—we regularly work at events where privacy is non-negotiable, upon request with a confidentiality agreement and without publication. And because weddings in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Mallorca, and the USA are part of our daily routine, international procedures are familiar territory.

We Define Luxury Wedding
Photography at Lake Como

Villa del Balbianello · Villa d'Este · Grand Hotel Tremezzo · Villa Monastero & more

01

The Light

The evening light over the lake opens up for just a few minutes a day—and dictates the most important shots. This is why our timelines are created together with planners and locations around these exact windows.

02

The Stage

Historic villas, private gardens, the water itself. We know the stages of Lake Como – and the perspectives away from the postcard motifs.

03

The Dramaturgy

A wedding has a narrative arc. Our documentaries follow it – from the getting ready to the last dance – turning the day into a story, not a sequence of events.

04

The Details

Stationery, floral design, the feel of a dress: details bear the signature of a wedding. We treat them with the same care with which they were chosen.

Our Stage

The Iconic Venues of Lake Como

Historic villas, cypresses, the tranquil blue of the lake—a backdrop like no other. However, a backdrop alone does not make pictures. What remains is decided in seconds: in the right light, at the right moment, from the right perspective. We photograph and film with the standard that this place demands.

That is precisely the difference between pretty pictures and luxury wedding photography: not just capturing the setting, but knowing when it is at its most powerful.

Weddings at Lake Como raise questions – about venues, schedules, lighting, and timing. We answer some of them in our journal: with insights from real productions at the lake, not with generic advice clichés.

The two of us

Jules leads the photography. Her work runs on intuition and a feel for atmosphere — for what happens between the parts of the day that appear on the schedule. She also studied project management, and a three-day wedding across several venues is, in the end, a production: people, timings, permits, dependencies. Loving both sides of that is unusual, and on a destination wedding it is the difference between a day that flows and a day that is chased.

Having lived in the United States for several years, she works in fluent English. For our American and British couples that means one less thing to translate: the conversations before the wedding, the family on the day, the small negotiations with a villa manager in the middle of it all.

Björn is lead cinematographer and runs the technical side. His background is in mechanical engineering, and it still shapes how we work — structured, thinking two steps ahead, calm when a schedule slips. Precision is not the point in itself; it is what makes it possible for everything to be in place when the moment arrives.

Between us there is very little that gets left to chance. Together we work with up to three photographers and filmmakers, scaled to the day. Photography and film come from one team and one vision, not from two suppliers meeting for the first time on your wedding morning.

We take on a limited number of weddings each year, which is why the ones we do take on get all of it.

Get in Touch

From Inquiry to Booking

From your initial inquiry to your wedding day, The Tailors Photography accompanies you through a seamless and clearly structured process. We take the time to understand your vision, coordinate all the details of the timeline, and ensure that your photography and film experience at Lake Como is relaxed, discreet, and perfectly organized.

01

The Inquiry

Date, location, a few key details – that's all it takes. Availability feedback will follow within 24 hours. The reason for the speed: popular dates by the lake are booked up early – clarity on the date is the most important first step, and the inquiry is non-binding.

02

The Conversation

A personal video call: vision, location, expectations – and the question of whether the chemistry is right. On both sides. No sales pitch, but an honest assessment of lighting, timeline, and the photographic possibilities of the location – added value for the planning, regardless of the outcome.

03

The Concept

It fits, the concept emerges: Timeline along the light, coordination with planner and location, the individual offer. From here on, the date is reserved – and the wedding has a team that anticipates the procedures before the day begins.

FAQ

The individual offer will follow after the initial consultation.

Yes – that is our core strength. Photography and film are created from a single team, with a unified visual language and a single point of coordination.

We regularly work at the iconic locations around the lake. New locations are visited before the wedding, and the procedures are coordinated with the venue team.

Of course – many of our couples live internationally. Getting to know each other, the concept development, and coordination work entirely remotely, across all time zones.

Fluent. We accompany international weddings across Europe and the USA – communication with couples, guests, and vendors is conducted confidently in German and English.
